The lesson here is "Don't stand and pose in front of the door while the bees are still after you."
Or: "Actually press the button when you reach the door, then proclaim it a victory"
All of the above has happened in different instances.
...
This took 2 days to complete. Everything kept going stiff while I was hunched over a graphic tablet. Not nice! Plus I put more work into the background than I normally do, so it took about as much time as I'd normally just throw into the characters.
The only consolation I have is knowing the trick to catching the buggers, and that if you run all the right ways you can have them chase you all the way up and down town.
Still annoying when you reach a door and the button doesn't register opening it, you get stung mere moments from a door, or, the worst one, you reach a door and the occupant is out.
I also hate Derwin but that's another matter entirely.
Yeah, if you do this really swift-like and quick run in a circle once they get close to you, they'll follow your loop but it'll be a much larger one, giving you more time to run away. It's kinda fun to see how long you can outrun them. But man, is it ever harder in City Folk to catch the damn things, since you can't do the whole "pause menu" trick where they freeze while you're paused/getting your net.
Also, I'm pretty sure Derwin was modeled after Chuckie from Rugrats.
Yeah I noticed that. Makes it that much harder to get the net out that you so desperately need. I think I found the buttons for it last time I played, but I haven't played it in a while, now.
I just find Derwin really creepy half the time. *shakes fist* I thought Dizzy was annoying but...
I haven't played in a while, either. >_< I'm usually too embarrassed to play for extended periods of time in the main room, it's only a matter of time before someone spouts off the usual "psht what do you even do in this game" or "it's the same damn game as before!" or something that makes me feel uncomfortable to play it.
I'm pretty sure my least favorite villager is that one green duck with the underwear on his head.
The main reason I've not been playing it, aside from the Wii not even being plugged in to save electricity, is that I moved onto Enchanted Folk (Magicians Quest in US). Similar thing, but you can do a little more. You can attack villagers you don't like! XD Take that, TV-head!!
Although I do get comments for playing it. But I come to expect it.
